The Coming Delusion

The Vicious Lie of False Love, False Revival & False Truth - Apostasy

"2Timothy 3:1  But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come… 5  [men]holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these… 7  always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

I have always wondered how people in the Church, who have tasted of the good things of the Lord and have been partakers in the blessing and promise of His Holy Spirit could ever apostatize from the faith.   How they could hold to a form of Godliness but deny it’s power.  It is already beginning in subtle ways – and we know it will become more intense.  Apostasy is departing from a once held position.  It will be made up of those claiming to be Christians but are not.  Scripture is clear…

2Ti 4:2-5  preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.  (3)  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,  (4)  and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.  (5)  But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

1Ti 4:1-2  But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,  (2)  by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,

2Th 2:1-3  Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,  (2)  that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.  (3)  Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

Mat 24:9-14  "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.  (10)  "At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.  (11)  "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.  (12)  "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.  (13)  "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.  (14)  "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

God has given us a picture of what will occur in the Church in the last days – there will be many false teachers – teachers tickling the ears – and so-called Christians who are not prepared for persecution who will compromise the truth and believe a lie.  They will practice the love of deception and compromise but not true agape love.  Many will fall away from the true faith.  Yet at the same time, those who truly seek Him will be given the extra oil and the will be ready to endure to the end – empowered, equipped, anointed, fervently loving with God’s love, and completing the great commission to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.  But how are we going to do this?  What do we need to do now to prepare ourselves?  This is why we began a season of fasting and prayer.  And here is what the Lord showed us…

The Word God gave us

During a time of pray and fasting in January, 2007,  I had a dream.  In this dream we were at a gathering of believers and we were discussing the great Truths contained in God’s Word.  As we were discussing the foundational Truth of Christ and Him being the only way, the Truth, and there is no salvation apart from  Him, someone stood up and began to declare a message forged in the realm of Demons that was all about false love and ecumenicalism – ‘there are many paths to God’.  As he spoke, a strong delusion began to come over many at this gathering, and they began shaking their head in approval of this diabolical message.  Their expressions began to change to an expression of, ‘now I finally know the real truth’.  I began to pray and question God as to how these ‘Christians’ could believe a lie – and immediately I too lost my grasp of the Gospel message and the delusion overcame me as well – I sounded out in hardy approval of the lie – ‘this is true love – we need to embrace all faiths equally and support everyone in whatever they believe’.  At that moment, God opened my eyes and said very distinctly, ‘there is a delusion coming that will be the foundation for the Apostasy which I forewarned you about through the Apostles and Prophets of old – I’ve let you experience it so you will no how to prepare My Church for the days ahead.’

I was instantly awake and my thoughts alarmed me to the point of weeping – I began to pray for the Church - the remnant Bride of Christ – and I understood – the deception coming to the Church will weed out the foolish virgins from the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25.  The wise virgins need to get their extra oil NOW.  I asked God what I can do to help them to be prepared to stand for Truth and receive the extra oil from the parable.  He said, ‘instruct the Church in Truth – help them Know the Truth, Love the Truth, Live the Truth, and Proclaim the Truth.  As you do this, I will give them the strength to Stand for the Truth in the midst of much opposition.  FEED MY SHEEP!  Do this with a gently hand – let it be with My Love that I pour out through you.  Nurture My Church as a gentle Father nurtures his own children. As you do this, I will fill them with the extra oil of my  Holy Spirit who will seal and protect My true children from the delusion that is coming.’

A fire began to kindle within me – a passion to do what my Lord has instructed me to do.  I asked God how to proceed, and He said, ‘Wait’.  I thought He was referring to the promise from the prophet Isaiah;
